The moon jellyfish is the most common jellyfish al around the world's oceans, but the bad news is that it won't be so much common for much long.. it's actally getting challanged by the sea walnut. They're both after the same food but somehow the moon jellyfish has giving up on hope, the sea walnut is extinguishing the moon jellyfish and is taking over the waters. The sea walnut is getting more and more common in the waters al around the world. I actally feel bad for the moon jelly, they're so innocent and beautiful.

When I was a kid I actally hated these jellies, I was scared of them. One day when I was like 7 or 8 years old my dad and I decided to take a dip in the ocean but the time we got there the water where  packed with moon jellies and I was so scared! They were so many of them that you couldn't even see the brown sand on the bottom, so my daddy had to carry me al the way out to where there were no more jellies but the huge smack never ended.. I was totally freaked out! I mean I nearly started crying, that's how scared I was.
So it ended up with nobody taking a dip that day obviously.

Somehow I've always hated them, for no reason actally.. I just hated how slimy and blobby they are but now I think they're quite beautiful.
But now when I know that they're slowly disapearing I feel kinda bad for them, almost as I want them back you know.

Okey, maybe it's time for some fact instead so that I don't end up by telling you guys my whole life story.

They're usally about 25 - 40 cm, see - through and you can recognize them by looking at there four square - shaped rings on the top of their belly.
And just as everyboy know, the moon jellyfish is harmless to humans. But they do have stinging cells actally, they're just to weak for us to feel it.
